Usage Direction

Manufacturer Recommendation - Always use RADIX ZYME enzymatic cleaning solution in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and IFU of the medical devices being cleaned

Disinfection and Sterilization - Presoaking time will vary depending upon the amount of accumulated bio-burden on the instrument and the length of time the bio-burden has been allowed to dry before cleaning/decontamination begins. Additional manual or automated cleaning steps may be required. It is recommended on average to soak instruments for a minimum of 10 minutes in 2% RADIX ZYME solution in DM water before further reprocessing disinfection and sterilization

Cleaning procedure - For optimal results, RADIX ZYME should be mixed with water at approximately 35-40 Degrees C (95F-104F). Do not exceed the water temperatures of 60C/140F. Cleaning procedures should not allow blood to be exposed to temperatures higher than 60°C(140°F)to prevent coagulation (Perkins, 1969).

NOTE: Do not allow biological contamination to dry on to the surgical, medical and dental instruments. If the biological contamination has dried onto the surface of the instruments, use a 3%v/v RADIX ZYME solution in DM water allowing a soak time of at least 30 minutes. Rinse with water prior to disinfection/sterilization. Discard used solution after use.
