Paraffin Gauze dressing B.P 93

Description - Paraffin Gauze Dressing B.P. 93 consists of a leno-weave fabric, or cotton and viscose, which has been impregnated with white or yellow soft paraffin. The dressing is used as a primary wound contact layer and the paraffin is present to reduce the adherence of the product to the surface of a granulating wound. It is covered between two vegetable parchment papers and packed in a peelable pouch and Gamma irradiated to sterilize it.
